Aluminium profiles - currently THE material to build your printer, CNC or any other contraption with. Unfortunately lack of clear standards and manufacturers innovation lead to creation of few variants with some distinct pros and cons.

Designs created for One profile may fail when u use different one or you will need to change some components to accommodate features of specific profile type.

Currently in common use (3d printing construction) there are 4 main types of profiles:

• I -Type
• B-Type
• V-Slot
• 5 Series (Misumi)
